Imagine going your whole life trying to figure out where you belong, and by the time you think you figured it out you are completely wrong. I am a first-generation college student, and despite societal adversities and pressure I have been able to persist. My whole life I have created a reality for myself to inspire others to strive for greatness. Before attending Michigan State University (MSU) I thought I had my life figured out. I went to MSU thinking I wanted to become a mechanical engineer, seeing that I studied Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math my entire high school career at Cass Technical High School. I was told to keep studying engineering for the money and for the title although I was not happy with myself nor the work that I was doing.
